I am assuming that you are probably thinking of buying for own stay and enjoy the comforts of condo living rather than from investment hedging point of view.
If that is the case, do the financial calculations right and if the servicing of condo mortgage and the initial cash outlay is within comfortable range, you should go for it.
No one can predict how the prices of property will behave in the next few months but if we all know that land is scarce in singapore. Get something that is of a good location and something well within your budget. And if you really want to time the market, give yourself a margin of price fluctuation and go in when the prices soften. However, do ask yourself, if prices of condo increase by another 10% next year, will you buy or wait. Because although prices might drop next year, it might also increase. When you are buying for own stay.. the key would still boils down to affordability.
