Hi,

1) If you are buying it for your own stay, then it is perfectly alright to do so. As long as you do not need to consider gaining any profit from it.
2) If you have a little concern about hoping that will bring you some value after a certain number of years, then it is best to think twice.
3) Not all property in the world will bring you capital gain and a good rental yield.
4) Especially there is an over-supply of property in Johore at the moment. Demand for property there now is at an all-time low.
5) You do not need to declare your purchase but you must complete your MOP in your current flat if you are the owner or the essential occupier. Failing to do so and being found out by the authority will face serious consequences from the authority.
