In general, HDB transaction takes ~4 months to complete. For private transaction, takes about ~3 months.

If you are looking to use the sales proceed from HDB transaction to purchase the condo, then you need to arrange for short term accomodation during the transition period.

A HDB takes 3-4 months to complete. When the Option is exercised, we can submit the deal to HDB to get a 1st appointment date. That will roughly be 3-4 weeks from date of submission. Then during the 1st appointment, we will decide on the 2nd appointment date which is also your completion. The earliest is 6 weeks and the latest is 8 weeks from the 1st appointment. That is the timeline for HDB.

For private property, the completion is normally 8 weeks from the date of exercise of the Option at the lawyer. Private properties transaction does have a more flexible and easier timeline.
