I am quite confused with the new ruling,i own 2 private condos and a 5 rm HDB flat,can I sell my hdb flat and be a joined buyer with my son, who is not married, below 35yr old, to buy a 5rm hdb or e flat fr open market? and also if i sell my condo which i bought 4ys ago, how much stamp duty i have to pay? tks in advance.

Hi Irene,

Under the recent cooling measures introduced, the moment you sell away your existing HDB and buy another HDB unit in the open market with your son, you are required to sell away your private properties within 6 months upon completion of your HDB purchase.

As for selling away your private property bought 4 years ago, you are not required to pay any stamp duty. You can read more about the seller stamp duty at the following path:

Hi Irene,

You can sell and buy resale HDB from the open market. However, you are required to sell away both private properties within 6 months after you buy.

You do not need to pay any seller stamp duty should you bought your private properties 4 years ago.
