I am currently renting a HDB flat. It was a two year lease,now one and half years remaining. I just got my PR approved together with my wife, and planning to buy a HDB. Can I early terminate my current lease without any penalty?

Morning,

You have to check your current TA, if any diplomatic clause have being added.
I would also advice against it as the process for house hunting, transaction period, and renovation time can take up to around 4.5 to 5 months.
You also need to plan and work out on both your financial status, before deciding which area to look at, which is within both your affordability.
