You may like to consider the time it takes to market the unit (with viewings and negotiations) and the conveyancing period (with payments of stamp duties to transfer of the property title and completion)
It may take up to 3 months for the marketing period + 3-4 months for conveyancing completion.

This timeline could be made shorter or longer, depending on your requirements.

Good morning Sir/ Mdm,

Marketing period will depend on the market condition like factors like pricing (market price or above valuation etc), market demand (number of buyers) and supply (number of competitors) etc.

It could be sold within 1 viewing or take a slightly longer duration.

As for property conveyancing, law firm might take up to 3 months. I had done shorter completion period of 6 to 8 weeks. This will depends on both parties' law firm, government bodies like CPF etc.

1) Timeline for selling resale private property is negotiable between seller and buyer.
This are the typical resale timeline
- After securing offer, you can grant the OTP to the buyer with the agreed Option Fee
- Buyer would have 14-21 days to exercise the option.
- After buyer exercise the Option, completion will be around 2 - 3 months later
- For early redemption of your loan it will be best to check with the bank
Typically most banks need at least 8 weeks advance notice for the redemption
Law firm can help to serve notice to your bank

2) Other costs involved when selling your condo would include the following:
Property Valuation from Licensed Valuer (if required)
Seller’s Stamp Duty (if applicable)
Legal Fees
Agent Fees

3) It will be good to know the current market value of your house before selling.

Do you mean the timeline for the transaction to complete or do you mean the average time to market the unit for sale?

As a resale transaction, the timeline can be quite flexible as it involves negotiation between the seller to buyer but in a typical transaction, it takes about 14 weeks to complete the whole transaction on average from date of accepting an offer.

If you are referring to the marketing of property, it will really vary greatly, and is very subjective to the expected price versus the supply and demand of similar units in similar location, however, in general if a unit is positioned correctly in terms of price, it should not take more than 3 months to sell if there is healthy demand in the area.

I have been in the real estate business since 2009, with more than 13 years of experience serving the Singapore real estate market.
