Hi there,
I'm in the last month of my tenancy agreement and will not be renewing. The apartment has been recently sold. I don't have complete insight into the sales process, but was informed by the landlord's agent that the sale will not be complete by the time my agreement closes. The agent has been dodgy about certain tenancy closure items lately and has started bringing up the new owner's expectations etc. If the sale process is indeed complete and my tenancy agreement has not been updated to reflect the agreement with the new owner, am I obligated to meet the new owner's expectations? Common sense tells me I have no agreement with this new individual and his/her name should not pop up with the tenancy closure discussions at all. My agreement should still hold with the previous landlord. Can someone pls clarify ? Thanks!
