Hi, my wife and me (both German) will move to Singapore in 1-2 months and would like to rent an apartment. Are there any costs additional to the price of the apartment itself as quoted on propertyguru such as rent deposit, brokerage fee or any further expenses (except electricity and water costs)?

You have listed most, if not all, of the fee associated with renting of flats. However, i feel other than the monetary cost, we should look at other more important factors such as:
1) Location
2) Environment
3) Convenient

These are just the 3 factors that you need to consider and having a professional will definitely help you in getting a good house and a memorable stay in Singapore.
