This is indeed frustrating, however, there are indeed some transactions where they will up slightly more time to complete all documentation required. The longest transaction which I had encountered to complete all documentation works I can recall is about 6 weeks as there were details of the tenancy agreement being reviewed by the respective company departments.
Nevertheless, if any advertisement has not been refreshed for over 1 week, it is very likely that these units are no longer available. Your alternative can be to engage the services of a professional agent to source out a suitable unit for you with a service fee involved while you can free up the time spent on browsing, shortlisting, calling and getting frustrated.
