Hi, I've applied for a BTO under MSCP scheme, awaiting to sign the lease agreement. My spouse is a PR and is listed as an occupier while I am the sole applicant. If I were to go ahead with the lease signing, should anything happen from now till key collection, am I able to change occupier while still being the sole applicant?

Hi John,

1) Although you are the sole applicant your spouse is the essential occupier in this application.
2) The HDB web actually did highlight no changes to the persons listed in the application.
https://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/residential/buying-a-flat/buying-procedure-for-new-flats/application

3) Cancellation procedures and financial forfeitures may apply if there are changes to the flat application.
4) If there are changes to your flat application due to a life event, e.g. marriage, demise, etc. Please contact the HDB via the e-feedback form. The HDB may understand your situation and assist you.

5) This is the link to the e-Feedback form: https://services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BF12AWFeedback/BF12SFrontController?service=ServiceFeedback&operation=createFeedback

Hope the above answer your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Best regards
