My sister asked me to sell away my hdb flat when my mother is no more in this world.
She said she, her husband and me we will buy a 4 room hdb flat to stay together.
She said she, her husband and me will be the owners of the new 4 room hdb flat.

Hi,

Yes, it is possible to have 3 co-owners for a HDB flat. However, do take note on the different manner of holding, and decide how you want it to be held.

Hi,

1) Yes, an HDB flat can have more than 2 owners.
2) In your case, I would suggest holding the HDB flat under Tenancy-In-Common so that you can have a clear and distinct share of the property.
3) You will just pay the amount according to the amount of share you will own in this flat rather than using the Joint-Tenancy.
4) Because Joint-Tenancy meant it is an equal share for all owners, and 3 person shares in 100% are usually very difficult to distribute the amount of cost and profit if there is any in future.
5) This is so that your interest is protected in an event when there is an unresolved dispute in the future.
6) You can also do a will on the amount of share you own in the future.

Hope the above answer your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.
