Hi, Im interested HDB shophouse with upstairs residence and downstairs shop.Is there same HDB rules ilike flats whereby not allowed to own property overseas(Malaysia)?If same rule for shophouse then I look ofr private shophouse upstairs stay and downstirs shop.My budget $100,000 to $200,000 depends on location and extent of renovations..Thanks.Sam

Hi Sam,

HDB shophouses are classified as commercial properties. The rulings on residential HDB flats do not apply to HDB shophouses.

Hi,

HDB shophouses are usually at the price range that is about $600K. With the budget of $100K to $200K, you might face some difficulties. Please advise.
