If it's the 1st property, generally a person can loan to 80% of the purchase value or valuation of the property whichever is lower. This is subject to bank credit assessment.

The next step to do is ask the bank for an approval in principle of the loan.

I am assuming you are a self employed.

Assuming no debts like car loan and credit cards, you should be able to loan up to $857k.

So with this, you should be able to afford a $700k property if you have sufficient funds for downpayment.

Based on your income, assuming that you do not have any other outstanding loans, you will be able to secure a max loan of about 1.3 mil. Therefore, you will have no problem buying a 700k condo.
