1) It will take about 14 working days from the CPF to refund your CPF funds from the sales.
2) So ideally, you should start your search now in Dec.
3) In general it takes about 1.5~2 months to find the next home.
4) Let said it takes you 2 months from now to find your next home and offer for an OTP it is already in 1st week of Feb.
5) The completion of an HDB takes about 3 months. You will only need your funds for the payment in end-March & April to complete the purchase.
6) You should begin with your financial planning now. Do you have any intention to apply for a loan?
7) Since you just sold your condo, you are not eligible for an HDB loan thus the only source of financial assistance is from the bank. In this case, you should talk to the bank that you are keen on their mortgage package.
8) If you intend to use only your sales proceed for the next purchase, then the process can be simplified.
9) You should identify the estate, specific area, and types of flat that you are keen on.
10) If you have specific requirements on the level and facing, this might not be available in your beginning search, thus it is important that you start your search as early as possible.
