Dear Buyer,
Upon completion (whichever the month), the tenants should pay the rental to you. Also, the deposit for the tenants held by the current owner, should be given to you as well as you need to return it to the tenants.

From your explanation, I think there is a grey area here and you should consult your lawyers with regards to this. Something does not sound right!

If the property selling with tenancy typically TA is transfer to the new owner upon completion of the sale and typically new owner will receive the rental after completion of the Sale
However, as I am not sure what is your discussion (term and condition of the Sale) and what is the clauses in the TA so I can not advise you further
