Hi Chee Kwang,

1) I'm afraid the grant does not work in this way.
2) It is either you get it or you are not eligible for it right from the beginning.
3) There is also an advantage not applying for a grant unless you desperately need it to be able to afford the unit you really like.
4) You will not need to pay any resale levy when you apply for a BTO/SBF in the future.
5) You may also upgrade to another resale flat from this flat after fulfilling the 5 yrs MOP. By then you will still be able to apply for the grant.
