Hi,
I have a resale 4 room flat, currently still under servicing loan. We are interested to get an EC but knowing the situation we intend to do the following if it is advisable.

1. HDB loan left 30K, which we intend to pay off the loan.
2. We can't sell the flat now because of logistic issues. So contra off not a solution.
3. Little cash / no CPF situation whereby we only have enough for 5% down payment.
4. Currently we are also servicing car loan and with a combined income of 12K, we intend to take up personal loan for down payment.

Is bank able to bridge the loan under this situation?

Evening,

It's a good idea to clear your HDB mortgage loan. But when did you purchase the HDB unit, as it will affect the chances of your possible upcoming purchase.
If you have fulfilled MOP and are eligible to purchase second property, with 80% LTV, 5% must be cash. As how much personal loan you can get and how much mortgage you can get after that would ve dependent on your credit record. If you require assistance, do contact me so that my banker can assist you. Hi. On a financial standpoint., your current daily expenses appear significant enough to have an impact on your cash savings. Taking a bridging loan may temporarily solve your downpayment but is it advisable to borrow short term to service a long-term loan? Do you see yourself being able to pay off the bridging loan with your sales proceeds? Similarly, if you can't sell your flat now because of logistics issues, I cannot see how you are going to proceed to buy an EC since hdb rules will force to sell your flat within six months of taking over.
