Hi ,

I am interested to get an Executive Condominium for my family. But I have queries on how the MOP works on my current HDB unit

I am currently residing in a 5 room HDB in Punggol and will hit MOP in 2020 1st Quarter.

What are my options ?

1. Can i look for EC that TOP after 2020 1st Quarter

2. Or i need to wait for my unit to MOP before I can register any interest in an EC ?

You will need to wait until after MOP.

Whether you need to wait out for your MOP depends on how you purchase your current HDB flat.

Is your current flat from BTO? If it is not, did you take up CPF Housing Grant when you purchase this resale 5RM flat?

    Hi , thanks for the reply.

    I have check with HDB and my MOP is 5 years.

    I am very interested in upgrading after 5 years , BUT I want to understand how the mechanism work.

    If I took interest in an EC and want to move in upon actual TOP which is around 2021 (if there is any)

    2021 is already beyond my MOP , but I cant register for any before 2020 (MOP) and wait for TOP in 2021 ?
