Timeline in resale application should be discussed prior entering into the Option To Purchase as this is 1 of the critical component that requires manual filling up inside the Option To Purchase. I believe you are acting on your own in this transaction, otherwise if an agent is acting for you, it is a severe lapse on his or her part not to have discussed on this subject matter.
As of now, you can only look into the clause where it has indicated how many days after exercising the Option To Purchase should resale application be submitted and follow up accordingly with the seller or the agent acting for the seller. As long as it is within the stipulated period, there is no wrong on their part. If the period has passed and you have already submitted yours, you can opt to take legal actions via your lawyer to seek damages.
