Hi Gurus, I & my husband owned a four room flat in Bedok Reservoir. After much calculation, we have decided to upgrade to EC, a 2 bedder or 3bdrm compact either in Austville, TwinWaterfalls or Watercolors. We have set aside some cash for the stamp fee & agent's commission separately. Thus the proceeds from the sale of our 4rm which amounted to about $300k will be used to offset the cost price of the new EC. Question is; with just a combined gross of $5k, are we eligible to get the loan from the bank? Me & my husband will be 33yrs this year. What about the annual insurance & monthly maintenance fee? Thks.

Hi Mdm Alysha,

Different Bank will provide different package. Normally the loan amount is calculated base Max 40% of your annual income, depending if you have other commitment. Max loan period will be 30year or till 65year of age which ever shorter. In some case till 75 year of age.

Maintance fees normally depend on the different project and size of the home.
