Hi Guru, I am a DIY buyer; and bought a 4 room HDB flat recently. I have signed the OTP and made payment of 5K after that. We (seller & I) have been submitted our application to HDB and will attend the HDB 1st appointment next month. I have checked with the seller agent on the 20% down payment + COV + legal fee & stamp duty charges that need to pay; but he told me that I need to settle all these payment on the day of meeting the lawyer (which has been scheduled on the same day as HDB 1st appointment).
I am a SPR, and I have successfully get bank loan after OTP. As I don’t have much CPF money hence I need to pay cash for most of the payment. I would like to seek Guru’s advice whether will it be possible to request to settle the payment in 2 times. For example: 1st time (After 1st appointment) – Pay for 10% first + legal fee and stamp duty; 2nd time (Before 2 weeks of 2nd appointment) – To pay all outstanding amount
