Hi all.. in need of your expertise and guidance here..

Our main objective is to get a NEW HOME.


Current situation :
Staying at Bukit Batok, 4A room HDB. (bought it at 378k, as of Jan'13 the valuation somewhere 450k)
And no children yet.
Next Year April 2014, 5th Year.

As of this March 2013, our outstanding HDB loan is $270k.
With our hefty mthly CPF payment of $1200 so after 4 years, we both combine have only abt $20k in CPF. :s
Not sure how to count how much we will have in CPF, if we sell our HDB first

Understand that there will be a $40k levy if we apply for BTO..

Also, we know that there is no levy for Exec. Condos. / Private apt(dun think we can afford it though) but bank loans stories are scary! Whatever it is, we are playing with the thoughts..whereby we could sell off for profits/rent..(retirement plans?!)

Shd we apply for an upgrade to 5rm BTO or lookout for ECs??
wld really app ALL/ANY desirable directions :)

There are some questions which I need clarification:

1) Did you purchase the current unit using grant?
2) How much is your monthly household income?
3) Are you consistent with your monthly installment?
4) How much CPF have you utilized for the current mortgage?

With these questions answered, it would allow me to work things out for you.

    Hi thx fr reading my qn..
    1) yes, we had a parent nearby & first-timer grants when we bought this resale HDB4rm.
    2) I can only safely say that per household wld b 5k - (minus rainy days and well, if i ever get pregnant and not work..)
    3) We took HDB Loan of 30yrs(CPF deduction $1.2k/mthly). So as of Mar2013, we have an outstanding of $270k.
    4) Therefore when we check our Ordinary Acct last mth, we merely have $20k both)
