Sorry to hear about the situation, I hope you are managing well. For resale EC that just reached 5 years, it is "semi-privatized" in the sense that single SC / SPR is eligible to purchase. Do note that if the current EC is still within the 4 year holding period (counting from S&P/OTP exercise date), there are seller stamp duties applicable.

    I am over 35 years old, SC, and looking at getting an resale EC that's more than 5 years under single scheme. My current EC to be disposed has hit MOP.
Hi, yes you are able to purchase any EC that have already hit MOP, as a single purchaser.

Not to worry. You are eligible to purchase a resale EC (at least 5 years) as a single Singaporean or SPR.

As for your existing EC, has it MOP? If not you guys have to settle your divorce papers (court order) and seek approval from HDB branch office for special approval to sell within MOP.

Hope my sharing aids in clearing your doubts.

The 3 years period is NOT APPLICABLE to you if you are buying a resale EC. For resale EC, it is similar to any private property. You do not have to fulfill any scheme to be eligible to purchase.
