Hello! I am looking to apply for BTO with my boyfriend, but because his mother is a PR and the current flat they are staying in requires a joint name of his mother and her son (my boyfriend), so I am not sure if we are able to apply for BTO together because i heard that a PR cannot hold a house on her own. His mother is a divorcee hence she's not able to joint with her husband. sincere thanks for answering my question in advance.

Hi,

Based on the limited information given, it is likely that your boyfriend forms a family nucleus with his Mother to purchase their current flat.

If this is the case, and if you're eligible to apply for a BTO flat, you can still apply for the BTO flat. However, do take note that your boyfriend will have to dispose off his interest in his current HDB flat latest within 6 months upon the the key collection for your BTO flat.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
