Dear Property Guru,

I have a question of a property vacant at this moment. As the government cooling measures are now trying to reduce the increased in price of condo, would it better to continue rent it out again?

Thank you in advance Property Guru for your kind reply.

With Best Regards,

Hi Cheng,

Do you have any other options other than the 2 you have mentioned? For example consolidating some of your existing investment portfolios and reinvest them into something?

It is easy to say sell or rent from us as I believe each of us will have differing opinions with different exposures we have. It simply boils down to individual needs and plans in your scenario. As my fellow professional Mr Eric Tng has mentioned, the purposes of introducing the slew of measures by the government is not to bring the prices down as real estate prices are red hot and rising, therefore a need to cool off the rising effect.

My personal opinion is to sell your current Orchid Park unit and divert the cash into another property which is newer, as tenants are likely to prefer staying in a new condo than an old one.

Let me know how I may assist you further.
