Dear Gurus

I have a 5RM Hdbflat in woodlands bought in Jan 2007 with HDB Loan and HDB Grant.

I moved to US for job and took my family as my contract extended. My HDB flat was vacant. I found very difficult to get a rental apartment (due to less credit history) and staying in hotels for sometime. Due to real estate crash in US, i bought a home (govt gave tax credit to new buyers and tax deduction on interest)
without knowing that the MOP rules apply to overseas.

Dutifully I applied to HDB to sublet my flat during Aug 2010, the trouble started. I found that i can not buy in overseas too.

Now HDB is threatening to take my flat back. my contract is getting over shortly in US and the real estate market is further down... will be a huge loss if i see my house now.

I agreed to sell my house in US, but HDB is still threatening to repossess my flat.

Please help. willing to pay for a professional advice.
