Dear all , I’m planning to rent a room in a condo . Previously I noted my TA in my previous house is just 2 pages , however the current TA that the landlord agent gave me seem like it is used for whole unit instead of room . Can I still sign it ? Also all my previous room rental state aircon servicing is done by landlord since I’m just renting a room . The current agent mention I need to be liable for aircon servicing every quarter . Can I check if this is the norm ?

If you are uncomfortable with the agreement and its terms, you can opt to look for another unit where you can accept the terms and conditions.

Alternatively should you have engaged an agent to represent you in this room rental transaction, he or she should be able to advise you accordingly if the terms are favourable or neutral.

There is no standard clauses for all rentals unless you are renting direct from the authorities. All private rental agreements can differ accordingly.
