Dear Agents,

i would like to check on the following,

i'm 24 this year,

1. i have just BTO a flat,i would like to cancel to purchase a condo instead will i get any penalty from hdb or any other cost?

2. if i were to purchase a private condo, if my parents were to pass away *touch wood hope that they wont*. will i be able to inherit their hdb property?

3. our combine salary is approx $5500 how much are we able to loan? our cpf combine 80k, cash 40k

Hi,

I think it may be a bit stretching to get a condo, but if you are confident, you should be looking at a 600k price range or less project (either 1BR/2BR, mainly at outskirts area) You may also want to consider a 2BR EC if you are ok with suburban locations such as Punggol or Woodlands or Sembawang, for 1st timers there is still 30k grant available.

Whether you can inherit the hdb property is on a case by case basis, but chances are you need to sell away the hdb by then. Thanks and hope to understand your requirements better so to value-add further.

2. if you are the only children, yes. best to have a will
3. the estimated loan quantum base on you salary of 5500 is around 700K with 30 years of loan tenure and monthly instalment at 3200.
