Dear Agents, I had a 5 room HDB flat currently rented out till mid December 2011. Tenants have express to further extend the TA for another 2 years. But my agent was saying it is still too eary and still a lot of time. Is it really too early?

Hi Andy,

If I am not wrong, I read a similar post yesterday.

There is nothing wrong into entering any agreement as long as all parties concern (landlord and tenants) are agreeable.

Talk to your agent about it and see what is/are the concerns about and move on from there.

Dear Mr. Geryl, good day to you and thank you for your reply and views. In fact I had similiar view why a willing landlord and a willing tenants cannot extend the TA immediately. In fact it is only 3 months away from the contact lease period. It does not make commercial sense why we are all waiting? Unless there are other reasons why my agent is sitting on it? BTW i pay my agent 100 cents to every dollar agreed on the 'commission part'. I have totally no idea what is ther real benefit of waiting? Thanks, Andy
