Can SC+SPR (under spouse scheme) receive housing grant on resale flat ? We have overseas property in Malaysia and is going to sell it and buy resale flat in Singapore.
Are we limit to the rules "have not disposed of any property within the last 30 months" ?

Hi

If you are a 1st timer, you will be applicable for housing grant.

You may text 9620 0827  for a casual chat. We can share with you the housing policy, transaction process, timeline and an estimated financial statement for the purchase.

Warmest regards

Good evening,

I am afraid to inform you that based on the existing conditions that owners listed in application should not own property in Singapore or overseas and dispose within past 30 months, both of you will not be eligible for resale housing grant when you purchase a resale HDB.

You can try it as a blessing in disguise as well. If you are not able to take up housing grant now, you will be treated as first timer if you purchase a brand new EC or BTO in future.

Hope my sharing helps in aiding in your enquiry. May I know how can I value add further in your property needs?

Best regards,

YT Tan

Hi,

1) SC/SPR couple is eligible to buy HDB flat under the Public Scheme.
2) SC/SPR couple is eligible for a $40k family grant instead of $50k compared to SC/SC.
3) In the future if SPR converts to SC, you will be eligible for the $10k under the Step-up grant. Note that you have to apply for it within 6 months upon received citizenship.
4) You are also eligible for a proximity grant of $20k if your purchase is within 4km of your's or your spouse's parents.
5) You only need to dispose of your overseas property within 6 months upon key collection of your purchase. Since you are already in process of disposing of it you shouldn't face any problem over this.
6) The 30 months rule is only applicable if you are buying a BTO (Build-To-Order) or SBF (Sales of Balance Flat).

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Hi,

I regret to inform you that you will not be eligible for CPF Housing Grant as you currently own a private property. You will only be eligible for the CPF Housing Grant 30 months after you have disposed off your private property, provided you still meet the monthly household income ceiling.

You are however eligible for Proximity Housing Grant, if you purchase a flat that is within 4km to your parents' place of residence.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen
