If you wish to utilise your CPF-OA to pay for the property, you will need to be a co-owner of the flat. You may wish to approach HDB Branch Office to add your name into the flat.

Hi,

You will need to add in your name as co-owner before you can use CPF OA to pay for the resale HDB. You will have to approach the hdb branch to do the necessary. Do note you will have to sell away existing properties within 6 months after doing the addition.

your name need to be included to form a family nucleus with your wife in the resale HDB purchase, minimum as essential occupier. But if you wish to use your CPF, you have to be a co-owner to do so.

Hi,

1) You will need to be a co-owner in order to assist in the monthly mortgage. Implied that your wife will have to part some shares of the property to you in the process.
2) Under a private property arrangement, this is considered a part-sale exercise. Buyer stamp duty will be involved.
3) But maybe HDB has a different approach on this under Change in Flat Ownership (Not through a sale):

4) If it is due to the process and fees were not listed out in an explicit way, then this change in flat ownership should be the same as the private property process.
5) You will incur legal fees, stamp duty, and apply for a loan in the whole process.
6) I would suggest you take a look at the link provided on (3) and follow the processes.
