Hi,

1) Yes, foreigners are not restricted from buying property in Singapore.
2) The only restriction is foreigners are not allowed to buy landed property.
3) You may buy any condominium or apartment regardless of the lease type; 99-yrs, 999-yrs, and freehold.
4) You have to be aware that every residential property is subject to buyer stamp duty and 30% additional buyer stamp duty.

yes foreigners are eligible to purchase private housing like condo, apartments and even landed in Sentosa.

But do bear in mind that there will be 30% additional buyer's stamp duty (ABSD) payable for residential property purchase by foreigner.

Unless you are from countries that have free trade agreement with Singapore, you will be accordance same treatment as Singaporean. No ABSD payable for first residential property purchase.

Foreigners can purchase more than 1 non-landed private residential properties in Singapore, with the prevailing Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty and normal Buyer's Stamp Duty rates applicable.

Hi,
Foreign individuals can purchase private residential properties such as condominiums and apartments regardless of the lease type: 99-yrs leasehold, 999-yrs, and freehold.

However, foreigners buying residential properties in Singapore will be subjected to additional buyer's stamp duty (ABSD) of 30%, which is a tax on the purchase price of the property. This is on top of the Buyer Stamp Duty (BSD) applicable for all property purchased.

If you are from countries that have free trade agreement with Singapore, you will be accorded the same Stamp Duty treatment as Singapore Citizens.

Under the respective FTAs, Nationals or Permanent Residents of the following countries will be accorded the same Stamp Duty treatment as Singapore Citizens:
- Nationals and Permanent Residents of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland and Nationals of the United States of America.
