Currently there are no EC projects that are affected by ABSD and QC yet. In the future, ECs are unlikely to be affected as well because:
1. ECs are mass market properties, targeted at sandwich class and HDB upgraders. Unlike luxury properties, the pool of buyers are greater and therefore the likelihood that developer will not be able to sell off all the units are low.
2. There are hopeful buyers who feel that the ABSD and QC will result in developing slashing prices for projects in a bid to avoid paying these hefty fees. However, most developers will have the financial muscles to pay these fees and alternative vehicles may also be set up by them to avoid these fees. ECs prices are lower to start with and it is quite unlikely that prices will be slashed further.
