Hi Jeremy,

My question to you before I am able to answer you is what is the purpose of the purchase? Is it more for own stay or investment?

If it is for your own stay, I believe comfort is more important as you will be staying in the house for probably another 4-5years.

There are many different perspective to rate the pros and cons between these 2 properties, but my own preference is to buy a landed property, for I will not be paying any monthly maintenance fees and enjoy the luxury of build in space, should the purchase price amount be similar in comparison.

    Thanks for your reply. I appreciate your views.

    My purpose is for my own stay. I plan long term, about 10 years or so. Therefore, I don't want to be caught out cold when I'm planning my next move. Its for my own stay at the same time I want the value to appreciate.

    Very Singaporean eh :) ... "want cheap and want fresh (translate from Hokkien).
