If you are buying a resale HDB flat, you must dispose of all private properties before or within 6 months of the resale flat purchase. For a Built-To-Order (BTO) flat, you must wait out a period of 30 months. You will not be eligible for CPF Housing Grant since you had previously owned a private property. However, you may be eligible for a Proximity Housing Grant (PHG) if you choose to live close or with your parents.

After selling off your condo, if you purchase a resale flat, you will need to satisfy the 5 years Minimum Occupation Period before you are eligible to purchase a BTO or apply for housing grant for a resale flat.

Hi Ms. Angie,

1) You will have to observe 5 yrs MOP after buying a resale flat and not 30 months, before you can apply for a BTO/SBF.
2) Likewise for a resale flat with grant. You have to wait for 5 years before you are allowed to sell the resale flat you are staying. Of course, you are not allowed to buy another HDB flat while still observing the MOP.
