(1) How much stamp duty fee is payable for a lease less than a year (eg 4 months)? (2) Does the tenant have to pay stamp fee for a year or prorated for 4 months? (3) In the event that the lease is terminated before 4 months, can I get a refund from IRAS for stamp fee paid for a year? (4) I looked at IRAS website, e-stamping is applicable for those who have an account with IRAS. I don't think the general public can pay stamp fee by e-stamping. Correct me if this statement is incorrect.
