There were no recent launches of BTO flats in Potong Pasir but in February 2019 there was a Sale of Balance Flats exercise for flats in Toa Payoh and a launch of BTO flats in Kallang/Whampoa.
During the Sale of Balance Flats exercise, 167 flats in Toa Payoh were offered for sale. Prices ranged from $167,000 for a 2-room flexi unit in Alkaff Crescent to $581,000 for a 3-Gen unit at Bidadari Park Drive. Majority of the flats up for sale were 3-room units with the costliest in Woodleigh Link ($258,000 to $375,000).
A total of 855 BTO flats were launched for sale in Kallang/Whampoa and they were notably more expensive than the Sale of Balance flats in Toa Payoh. Starting prices for a 3-room flat and a 4-room flat were $374,000 and $523,000 respectively. Those who missed the February 2019 launches can look out for an upcoming launch in May 2019 when 580 units in Kallang/Whampoa will be put up for sale.
There were three condominium developments near Potong Pasir that were recently launched for sale.
One of them is The Tre Ver which is a 99-year condominium project developed by UOL and Singapore Land. Located along Potong Pasir Avenue 1, the 729-unit project is expected to TOP in August 2022. The maximum asking price for a one-bedroom unit and a four-bedroom unit is $$810,000 (about $1,601 psf) and $2.278 million (about $1,653 psf) respectively.
The Addition is a freehold condominium project located along Meyappa Chettair Road. Developed by Oxley, the boutique development has only 26 units and is expected to be completed by 2023. As at April 2019, the two-bedroom units are fully sold out. There are six three-bedroom units available with asking prices starting from $1.385 million (about $1,738 psf). The remaining three four-bedroom units have asking prices starting from $1.598 million (about $1,687 psf).
Jui Residences is another freehold development near Potong Pasir that was recently launched. Located beside the Kallang River, the project features 117 units in an 18-storey tower. The project is expected to receive its TOP in 2022. Asking prices range from $741,000 for a one-bedroom unit to $1.435 million for a three-bedroom unit.
Looking forward, the number of residential developments in Potong Pasir is likely to increase in tandem with the rapid development of the neighbouring Bidadari.
