The humble beginnings of Bukit Panjang that means “long hill”, can be dated back to the 1990s as a small town formerly known as Zheng Hua. The Bukit Timah Hill is located in the area and is Singapore’s very first nature reserve that conserves many different species of plants, monkeys and snakes. The area is also highly accessible as it is linked to the Pan-Island Expressway, Toh Tuck Road, Upper Bukit Timah and the Bukit Batok Roads.
