SImply Superb
Southhaven 2 is situated at the Hindhede Walk off Upper Bukit Timah Road, with the nature reserve park beside the development. The place has its intrinsic values with complete condo facilities and closeness to the dozens of eateries across the road. Shoppers can also find the Courts furniture mall across the road, and is also near to Bukit Timah Plaza, Bukit Timah Shopping Centre and Beauty World Malls. This condominium is easily accessible using the PIE and the BKE. It takes around 15 minutes to drive to the Central Business District. -

Well loved by expatriates. ..
Value for money inexpensive brand new condos as alternative to Districts 9, 10 & 11 older condos. Close to nature - Bukit Timah Nature Reserve well loved by expatriates. 30-minute bus ride to Raffles Place but <15 minutes by bus to International schools and Science Park. Science Park - may need 2 buses or MRT plus shuttle from Clementi MRT. 4 bus-stops to Bukit Batok MRT and then to Raffles MRT is option for Raffles Place executives. -

Great place
Great development with 999 leasehold.Windy & good sided units,Good landscape and space.Near town,amenties,schools poly and universities.Upcoming MRT Station IN 2015.Good POTENTIAL. -

A dump
I agree totally with Peter and all of the points he raised.The place is a mess.Southaven 2 should carry a government health warning.It isn't the worst condo in Singapore but it comes pretty close,and besides all of the valid points raised I would like to add that the security and security guards are worse than useless.They do not enforce any of the rules unless it suits them and doesn't break their sleeping patterns.If you are an expat looking for a condo please be aware that you WILL regret moving into this building sooner rather than later,so when your Agent (they are mostly useless and lie through their teeth) informs you that it is "resort living" ask them which resort?Beirut or Barbados! -

Moving out
Our lease is coming to and end and we can finally move out of this poorly managed condo. Upkeep is very poor. Dogs (my wife has counted more than 20 making their rounds early in the morning) urinate all over the walkways and green patches, resulting in a constant stench. Often, faeces are not picked up. If you have kids, you will not want them to do down and play in this mess. At least in 3 of units, dogs are locked out on the balconies, where they bark for hours, including evening, weekends and nights, and the echo is magnified within the compound. Management does not enforce any of the rules, and does not really care about founded complaints. Stagnant water after rainfalls covers the walkways for hours. In addition to the barking dogs and street noise, a new construction site coming up across the road where a Petrol Station used to be. If you even consider this place, check out the traffic jams around 8 am into town, and the same thing out of town in the evening. Black car and bus exhaust residue covers everything in the house within a week of cleaning. Can imagine this is quite bad for the lungs. Rent is ok, but you get what you pay for. -

Quite an old condo. Upkeep also quite poor. Although quite convenient, but most of the units noisy; esp those facing the main road. Those inside would hv railway noise. Construction work from the developer is also poor. Stayed here for a year but decided to shift out due the noise and birds ( terrible between the 7 to 8pm time). Rental is quite okay; can get one for $2.5K to $3K for a 3+1 units -
