The best located Condo in Sarangoon with MRT just at door step, but with prices over a million for all units (except 2 bedders) I don't think anyone doesn't own a car... maybe maids will love it, especially groceries shopping just across the road.
The pool and facilities are fantastic, though a bit old but incredibly well maintained! Kids and Family will have endless fun.
Units are small and some odd shaped units are really a waste of precious space. Those facing the landed areas will enjoy peace whereas the ones that faces the busy road will have to bear with the incredible heavy traffic flow all year round.
Overall, the best condo in the area. It's actually much better than the new Kovan Residences next door!

The condo has good facilities and is well maintained. The apartments are quite small and have an odd external and internal kitchen plus the bedrooms are at strange angles which would make it difficult to get the furniture in properly and to make use of already small rooms and very little space. The location is good if you're in the north but difficult to get to the West.
Kovan Melody enjoys a large plot of good size land (272,033 sq ft) to afford residents good outdoor space and activities. A big condominium of 778 units of 99 year lease of two bedroom to four bedroom apartments from 872 sq ft to 1894 sq ft. 12 blocks of 17 storey apartments with four units to a floor mostly. This development is suitable mostly for family and people who do not want to waste time and money on daily commute, enjoy convenience for daily living less the prestige and luxury. It is sited on the private landed community in the Serangoon vicinity and not cluttered among HDB flats although it is in the heartland of Hougang/Kovan area.
The interior units are fitted with homogeneous tiles and timber strips to the bedrooms. Sanitary wares from Brandt and Kitchen fitted with Turbo from Smeg. Separate dry from wet kitchens. The layout of units are generally practical but some may defer to agree on those slanted edge units facing Kovan Road. These were built with the intention to avoid the direct afternoon sun. Units fronting the Upper Serangoon Road commands view of the South Eastern region of Singapore but may need to tolerate with noise from a very busy Upper Serangoon Road. Those units closest to Kovan Road will enjoy better peace and quiet, unobstructed views; i.e. the slanted units facing Kovan Road, private landed compound in the North West direction.
Exterior common areas: Overall well kept and clean despite the large community. Horticultural landscaping scores three out of five and the use of lights to improve the ambience of the environment can be worked on. Somehow it still lacks some effort to give the “wow” factor rating. Facilities: Full facilities. The gym has pathetic equipments (largely tread mills) and does not support serious gym goers’ needs. Two levels of car park space which can more than fulfill residents and visitors car space needs.
