PEACEFUL, AIRY WITH GREAT AMENITIES
My family and I have been living here since day one and that was 14 years ago. The constant breeze, fantastic view and serenity is breathtaking, not to mention the amenities around and the 5 mins walk to the MRT, Gombak Stadium and sports complex. Noise is only more intense for the units facing the MRT track, as for the majority units facing the pool, stadium and beautiful Guilin lake, it is absolutely peaceful. The lap pool and huge swimming pool are my kids' favourite, the well positioned BBQ pit near the playground keep my visitors happy and relax as they can keep an eye on their kids while enjoying themselves. Hardly experience any traffic congestion heading to PIE, BKE or AYE which is less than 5 mins drive. So fortunate to have found this wonderful place call home.Was this review helpful? Report review -

Great Place with a Great Location
This place is amazing. The facilities are in tip top conditions. The location is very near the MRT. The noise from the tracks are only loud if the unit faces it. If the unit faces the Guilin and the swimming pool, you will hardly get any noise. A great place to stay with so many amenities nearby. Most of all, the Gombak MRT station is only 2 stops from the Jurong East MRT Station, where all the great shopping malls are located. You can shop there, and then return back to your condo which is located in a much less people and traffic intense environment. You get great shopping and the peace & quiet.Was this review helpful? PEACE PLACE TO LIVE AND ENJOY
MRT IS VERY CLOSE, WET MARKET NEARBY WITH FRESH VEGGIES AND CHEAPER PRICE, COMPARING TO BUKIT BATOK, WEST MALL ETC... AND ALSO PEACEFUL PLACE, NOT CROWDED VERY MUCH. CONDO FACILITIES ARE GREATWas this review helpful? Report review -

Great place
I have lived here for 5 months and find the place is fantastic. MRT is not too noisy and I live on ground floor. Security and management is top class. Facilities are excellent and the area has everything anyone could need, including beautiful Little Guilin . Only drawback is... Great View, Excellent Amenities, Some Noise
The noise level varies greatly depending on where you are staying. This is primarily because of the MRT track that runs very close to the development, especially blocks 22 and 24. All 2 bedroom units face the track instead of Little Guilin, so noise is definitely a problem. The 3 bedrooms faces the pool, away from the track, so unless you are on a low floor you won't even hear the MRT at all. What you do get is the traffic noise from the main road in front, which is bearable. Condo facilities are extensive, you name it, they have it. Management team is very effcient and helpful, which makes a big difference to having problems sorted out. Walking to Gombak station is around 5mins (<400m away), travelling to city takes around 45min door to door, but for peak hours, it depends on how many trains you have to wait for to get on the connecting one at Jurong East. Bus choices are liimited, and you'll probably need to transfer at Bt Batok a Local markets are excellent. Compared to Bukit Batok's West Mall area, Gombak is more 'heartland', which means more traditional shops, no aircon, cheaper stuff, and being able to pick and choose your fish/meat from the wet market. Overall, the development is pretty good as long as you pick the right units (ie. high floor, pool facing).Was this review helpful? Report review -

Guilin View
The flats are quite nice and the amenities are excellent. However, it is hard to enjoy the pool when you hear the MRT trains roaring by every 10-15 minutes. The windows are not double-glazed, so you can hear the noise through them as well. There is also a major thoroughfare nearby. In short--nice place, but VERY NOISY.
