Pros - Freehold - Siglap community club & civic facilities (Block 1 Siglap HDB) within 5 minutes' walk by 2030 - Good amenities nearby: supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, McDonald's, preschools, clinics, dentists, gyms (BFT/F45), parcel lockers, playground, primary schools etc - Quiet, not crowded. Large site for 48 units, plenty of greenery. Large, family-sized units - pleasant landed area: see stackedhomes review of East Coast Terrace. Historic East planning in URA Master Plan for Siglap - 5min jog to East Coast Park underpass. Close to nature - No lifts (less maintenance costs for an old condo) - Parking, EV charging Cons - Old; renovation & maintenance expected - Pool is fairly small - About 10 minutes' walk to Siglap MRT (can take bus 1 stop) - No lift - unsheltered parking -

classic appeal
Personally, Finland Gardens has a very classic 80s appeal. it charms me with its low-density living, older but uique design, quiet location, yet walkable distance to the beach. mrt kinda far too but so many other things to do in Siglap. -

split level units
one of the rare condo devs with split level designs. this means that diff parts of the house are on diff levels. staggered by short staircase. can be tricky for older folk or those with walking difficulties though. trade-off is my large kitchen and personal patio. Finland Gardens is also freehold but i think enbloc is not on the horizon, and it's somehow not in super demand. this means i can stay here longer. -

Finland Gardens has very large 3-4 bedroom units that give big families such as mine lots of space, a large grounds, lush greenery, a public playground just behind (own facilities are only pool and bbq), many malls and cafes surrounding, and it's even 15min walk from the East Coast Park. design of facade though unique in singapore context, still feels quite clinical and the signage too... -

Peace and quiet, Spacious outdoor area, suita
It is very spacsious outdoor. Peaceful and quiet.Ideal for families and peopel who work in the city and east. A lot of bus to business disrtrict and it is pretty fast. Supermarket and eateris are just nearby. The new MRT line is just about 7 mins away. 10 mins walk to East Coast park. I really love this place and neighbours are very friendly and most of them are locals . -

Welcome to the 80s!
Perhaps due to the state of the grounds, rental pricing for this condo is much more affordable than surrounding condos. Somehow the split levels make space feel small. Go for ground floor to maximise space. Common areas and facilities are in need of a total refurbishment. -

Nice size but very dated facilities
Rented a couple of years in this condo. Nothing wrong with apartment itself but facilities are dated and could do with a major upgrade. Community is small, consisting of mostly tenants who will come and go. Rental is lower than other properties around the neighbourhood probably due to age and limited facilities. -

For those who anti-enbloc. Good layout.
Perfect for those who anti-enbloc. This development is here to stay as long as the earth revolves unless masterplan change to land use plot ratio 1.4. Current land is marked as mixed landed. -

The land has no plot ratio. Only can redevelo
Land size is too small to build mixed landed. Economics do not make sense for developers. And yes for those who do not like to be enbloc and move again. This is definitely a good choice. Stay for life -

An Oasis in Siglap
Definitely not enbloc potential. A unique homely and cosy environment in the heart of Siglap. You will appreciate this place if you enjoy a Kampong feel, large bedrooms and easy access to the beach -
