Good location but steep price
Location: near lavender mrt station, very convenient but price is very expensive for a leasehold project.City Square (freehold) and Kerrisdale is nearby -- offering better value proposition. -

Terrible Traffic Noise But Good Location
Nice location with convenient transport. Neighbourhood offers convenient shopping and dining, with a good blend of local and international flavors. However, the traffic noise from the road is beyond terrible. Coupled with the thin low quality window glass and the choice of sliding windows with huge gaps for draft, resulted in noise levels easily exceeding 70 decibels into late night from buses and motorcycles zooming by. If you're indifferent to noise, this may be a place for you, but if not I would strongly advise doing a thorough check of the noise level in the room. I did not go near the windows as the original tenant was in the apartment during viewing and I felt bad going into the bedrooms. Lesson learnt. -

Condo with things to notice
There are pros and cons, as usual.+ Lavender MRT and NTUC are just outside condo- So is the crossing of two 8-lanes roads, so it's noisy. And probably dusty.+ Good view of Kallang River (sea view only for very high levels and from far)- For the next years you will also be able to see upcoming Kallang Riverside Condo construction site, which will ruin part of the view forever. Expected end of construction: Dec 2019. So the block 80 from right side, construction site from the left side, busy roads down there.+ nice ponds with fishes on the territory of condo- you can only access your block's lift lobby through car park. Smelly, ugly, along cars.+ There is no bombshelter, which is basically a storage room. - Idea of closing the kitchen into the box is so weird. Just a waste of space -

Citylights Condominium Complex
I live here now for a few Years and and own a Apartment. This place is very dirty and not well maintained, it takes month for the Management to react and fix thinks like lights or toilets on the public areas. The Management and cleaner stuff is very unfriendly towards kids and people with Animals. I can recommend for Familys or People who own Animals to move here. -

Very good location just with Lavender MRT Station at its doorstep. Hotel V and Kitchener Complex provides immediate amenities of eateries -

Suitable for ladies!
I have stayed here for 1 year and I find Citylights is very safe to stay in, like any other places in Singapore. When I go off from work at around 12am (yes! tough job), I find it very safe to walk from MRT to Citylights. The whole journey takes around 3 mins usually, and usually I grab my late dinner in food court on my way home. Highly recommended place for both locals and expats. No problem for ladies at all!! -

Great place to live with kids - Expat Family
Have lived here for 4 months, with 2 children aged 5 and 14 from Australia. Great views, pool is always super clean and well maintained. Great facilities, friendly security guards, lots of handy shops around and close to MRT. Jalan Besar stadium just behind Citylights and is a great place to take the kids to see a 1st grade soccer match. Spacious units with floor to ceiling windows and good sized bedrooms. Have never felt unsafe around here, everyone is very friendly and would recommend to any expat families. Australian International School bus picks up kids at the front gate. Very accessible to many great places in Singapore. Highly recommended -

Expat view
Been living here for 3 years, love it. Location, facilities, convienence to get to work (17min from my door to tanjong pagar MRT office door). Moved from the Clark Quay area, riverwalk with ocean view, high floors. Have the same feel, minus the club music each night ; ) and price. But on the down side, there's a hotel being put across the street, but that should past in couple month. At least it will have more shops and food in there. As for the locals and workers walking around, I like the local feel, food, shops, community center, etc. don't have family, but looks like all the kids in the pool are having fun all the time. Lastly, I drive, ride motorcycle...plenty of parking : ) -

Not For Ladies
Am Asian expat female and was looking for a place to rent. I really like the estate itself, convenient and full of facilities. But as I was walking to the MRT station to take a MRT back to my current place (about 8pm on a weekday night), the walk, although short, was a bit scary as the area is full of foreign workers who clog the pedestrian walkways and I was forced to squeeze past them. For the first time in Singapore, I felt unsafe.I told my friend about it and he joined me to see it again on a Sunday afternoon. It was much worse as the workers were sitting around and making wolf whistles at anyone in a skirt. It is a nice estate, great pity about the location. -
