The Avenir, a 376-unit, ultra-luxury condominium within the prime River Valley area in District 9, is set to open for preview today (3 January) at 6pm, reported The Straits Times.

Nestled on a 130,000 sq ft site, the freehold development comprises two 36-storey towers that feature two levels of basement parking, a bicycle park, a 50m lap pool and a hydrotherapy pool, among other facilities.

Unit sizes range from about 527 sq ft for a one-bedroom apartment to 2,411 sq ft for a four-bedder. All units come with balconies, and owners of the three- and four-bedroom apartments will enjoy private lift access.

Early bird prices for one- to three-bedroom units start at $2,930 per sq ft (psf) and $3,030 psf for four-bedders.

A joint development project of Hong Leong Holdings, GuocoLand and Hong Realty (private), the Avenir is located near the Orchard Road and the central business district. It is also close to the Great World City, the upcoming Great World City MRT station and the Singapore River.

Nearby schools include Odyssey The Global Preschool, Eton House Preschool and River Valley Primary School.

“The Avenir’s appeal lies in its freehold tenure and excellent location. It is not far from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet gives you a feel of living in the suburbs,” said Hong Leong Holdings head of sales and marketing Betsy Chng.

“With its sprawling grounds, The Avenir also gives you the luxury of space, which is a rare commodity when it comes to city living.”

The development is designed by Jean Francois Milou, founder of international architectural firm studioMilou, which also designed National Gallery Singapore.

The sales gallery for the Avenir can be found at the junction of Chin Swee Road and Upper Cross Street.
