A prime Good Class Bungalow (GCB) off main Holland Road / Sixth Avenue has been put up for sale via private treaty, according to its marketer, Savills Singapore.

Located in the Maryland GCB estate, the property is a short walk away from Orchard Road, Holland Village and Dempsey Village. It also commands a good view of the neighbourhood, as the main house stands on elevated ground measuring about 19,200 sq ft.

The two-storey bungalow, whose basement starts from the road level, comes with a linked sheltered car porch that can fit up to six vehicles. A part of this facility functions as a temperature-controlled glass garage, enabling the owner to showcase a collection of valuable automobiles, such as vintage and sports cars. The driveway can also be used as an extra parking space when necessary.

Built more than 12 years ago, the main house can accommodate a large household thanks to its seven en-suite bedrooms, as well as several family and entertainment areas. “Its modern architecture was considered ahead of its time when it was constructed,” noted Savills.

Besides a lift that provides vertical access from the basement to the first and second levels, the property comes with a 12-seater theatre, 30 m swimming pool, and landscaped garden with a barbecue pavilion.

According to Savills Singapore’s Associate Director Philip Ng, they are expecting a good amount of interest for this property, due to its ideal location and well maintained move-in condition.

He also added that there has been a growing interest in Singapore’s GCB market in recent months, with Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs) on the lookout out for family homes.
