Keppel Land recently won two major awards for its efforts in environmental protection and sustainability, as well as corporate social responsibility (CSR).
At the 7th ASEAN Business Awards held this week in Brunei, the developer was named ‘Most Admired ASEAN Enterprise’ under the CSR category (Large size company) for a second time following its win in 2010.
Separately, the company was recognised in the services category at the Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards (SEAA) 2013 yesterday, while Keppel DHCS won a merit award in the same category.
Keppel CEO Ang Wee Gee said: “Winning the SEAA is testament of our proactive approach towards
environmental management and protection. In shaping the future, Keppel
Land has also set the goal of reducing carbon emission intensity by 16
percent below 2010’s emission levels by 2020.”
“We want to create sustainable and optimal live-work-play environments
in all our properties of a distinguishable Keppel quality. In doing so,
we believe that Keppel Land can continue to achieve positive and
sustainable outcomes for our business, the environment and the community
at large,” he added.
Ang received the award at a ceremony from Minister for Environment and Water Resources Dr Vivian Balakrishnan.
