The shopping mall Westgate opens its doors today offering a variety of lifestyle, fashion and F&B outlets under one roof.

Located in Jurong East, the seven-storey building houses over 250 brands spread across 410,000 sq ft and is the only development to provide direct links to both the Jurong East MRT and bus interchanges.

Fashion brands available include AIX Armani Exchange, Kate Spade Saturday, Giordano Ladies and GISELLAblu. French cosmetic brands L’Occitane and Yves Rocher are also present.

Around 25 percent of the mall’s retail space is set aside for F&B, of which (excluding the Food Republic food court) 30 percent are Japanese outlets such as Kinoshita and Robata Robata.

Anchor tenants Isetan will be the first in Singapore’s west to offer wagyu beef, while Samsung will open the largest and first triplex Samsung Experience Store in the country.

To promote family and social bonding, the mall comes with purpose-built community spaces like Westgate Wonderland, an 11,000 sq ft thematic outdoor playground on Level 4, and Kids Club, a supervised play area on Level 5. The two outdoor playgrounds are set to open early next year.

Over in the east, Bedok Mall will start welcoming shoppers on 3 December with a series of activities and promotions.

The first major shopping mall in the area, the 220,000 sq ft complex will have 200 shops spread across three floors, with units leased ahead of its opening.

From 16 to 25 December, shoppers will get the chance to meet Santa Claus. They will also be entertained by Santarinas, receive free lollipops and popcorn from roving fairies, and witness contortionist acts by acrobats dressed as elves.

In addition, shoppers can experience Christmas ‘snow’ magic from 13 to 25 December, while superhero Batman and Ronald McDonald will entertain kids on 8 December and 14 December respectively.

Both malls were developed by CapitaMalls Asia.
