The strong interest for private residential launches seen just a few weeks ago has waned with lacklustre sales reported over the weekend, media reports said.

Property consultants noted that projects experiencing brisk sales during their debut two weeks ago now rely primarily on price cuts to move units.

Only a fraction of the 181-unit Clermont Residence at Tanjong Pagar was sold at its private preview over the weekend.

A marketing agent for the property said “more than 10” units were sold during the project’s private preview at an average price of slightly higher than S$3,000 psf.
