The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) on Thursday announced the five winners of the URA Architectural Heritage Awards.

Recognised for their exceptional work in heritage building conservation and restoration, the winning projects are:

1.    30 Mohamed Sultan Road (Hong San See Temple)
2.    5 Chatsworth Park
3.    48 North Canal Road
4.    125 Joo Chiat Place
5.    Lorong 24A Shophouse Series

The awards which were started in 1995 recognise owners, designers, developers and contractors who make conservation possible. It also promotes public awareness of building restoration and monuments with conservation status in Singapore.

Including this year’s five new winners, the total number of projects that have received the awards has risen to 117.

The awards were presented to the winners by Acting Minister for Manpower Tan Chuan-Jin.
