19 Jul 2010

CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) has announced the promotion of Ms. Pauline Goh as the new chief executive officer for South East Asia starting on July 1, 2010.

Ms. Goh has been a part of the company for 27 years and during this period, she has established herself as a model professional in the execution of transactions and assignments, as well as in the management of client relationships.

Ms. Goh was promoted to managing director of the Singapore office in mid-2005. Under her stewardship, the Singapore office has achieved both high profit margins and strong revenues on a regular basis, and has taken a leadership position in the Singapore market.

She has been directly involved in several major property investment transactions, office and residential projects and assignments, as well as in managing the business and the people that constitute the business. She has also managed the marketing of some of the country’s premier office developments such as Millenia & Centennial Towers, Marina Bay Financial Centre, Capital Tower, One Raffles Link and One Raffles Quay.

Ms. Goh has been involved in many major investment transactions. Among the major deals include the sale of Temasek Tower for $1.039 billion – the largest independent private property transaction so far in Singapore.

Mr. Chris Brooke, CEO and president of CBRE Asia, said: “As part of our ongoing strategy in Asia, we are looking to develop our business in Singapore into a hub operation to support our activities throughout South East Asia. In line with this strategy, within her newly expanded role, Pauline will adopt overall responsibility for our business activities in both Singapore and the remainder of South East Asia, working closely with the Managing Directors of our offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Pauline will also be working closely with me and other regional business line leaders as we look to continue to develop and enhance our capabilities throughout our offices in South East Asia.”

“I believe that this is a very well deserved promotion of an individual who has shown consistent dedication to the broader interests of the company,” added Mr. Brooke.

Ms. Goh said: “We are currently operating in a very challenging and exciting environment in Asia. The South East Asian markets present a significant opportunity for CB Richard Ellis and we are looking both to grow the traditional components of our business as well as to develop enhanced and expanded capabilities in order to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of our clients. At the same time, we are committed to protecting our market leadership in Singapore in relation to the mature lines of business – commercial leasing, investment sales, residential sales and leasing, valuation and advisory services and property management. I am honoured to be entrusted with this new role.”
